I’ve become enamored with Korean skincare in recent years. It’s low-cost, adaptable, and gentle. Most importantly, it has significantly improved my skin. Korean Skincare Routine For Oily Acne Prone Skin

The only issue is that I’ve never been able to locate a Korean skincare program that works for me on the internet. The majority of Korean skincare routines I’ve come across are intense. They usually last several hours and include 20 or more things.

So, after a lot of trial and error over the years, I’ve come up with my own incredibly basic Korean skincare routine for acne-prone skin.

The Greatest Korean Skincare Routine For Oily Acne Prone Skin I’ve Ever Done

In search of a cure, I came upon the Asian Beauty subreddit and began ordering Korean acne skincare.

The Korean items I ordered were vastly different from the ones I had previously used. They didn’t catch fire. They didn’t tingle in any way. They didn’t do a great job of cleaning my skin. They were powerful, but they were also gentle.

My complexion has improved dramatically since I began using Korean cosmetics, going from oily and acne-prone (uhhh, see above) to dewy and clear. While I still experience hormonal acne now and then, my skin is significantly clearer.

Here’s how to make your own simple Korean skincare routine for acne-prone, oily skin. And you won’t find any super-expensive items here – in fact, the majority of these items are around $20!

How to make an oily skin Korean skincare routine:
Note: These are the Korean skincare steps I recommend for oily or combination/acne-prone skin. These products should be used in a Korean skincare routine for combination or oily skin, not dry skin.

The first step is to use a foaming cleanser.

Cleanse with a moderate foamy cleanser in the morning.

Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam from The Face Shop has a low pH, so it’s mild and won’t deplete your skin of its natural moisture.

Visit Amazon.com to see it.

BHA Toner (Step 2)

After cleansing, use toner to prepare the skin for moisturizer by allowing it to penetrate more easily.

BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) is found in the finest Korean toner for oily acne-prone skin, and it aids in the removal of blackheads and whiteheads.

I recommend the Benton BHA Skin Toner with Aloe, which is great for clogged pores and closed comedones.

Snail Moisturizer (Step 3)

Snail essence will almost certainly be present in the best Korean moisturizers for combination or oily skin.

Snail moisturizers are popular in K-beauty because they are high in elastins, proteins, hyaluronic acid, and glycolic acid, all of which firm and plump the skin.

For optimal hydration and anti-aging, I recommend the Benton Snail Bee High Content Cream.

Don’t forget to moisturize your neck and décolletage as well as your face!

Step 4 – Protect yourself from the sun.

Sunscreen is crucial in the fight against aging. Yes, even if you have a fifteen-minute commute and work in an office, you need it. It’s something I’d recommend wearing every day.

The Biore Aqua Rich Sunscreen, which is light, moisturizing, and has SPF 50, is my fave.

Visit Amazon.com to see it.

Oil Cleanser (Step 5) (Evening)

Remove makeup, sunscreen, and grime with an oil cleanser in the evening. Surprisingly, those with combination/oily skin can use oil cleansers.

The Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect Cleansing Oil, which removes makeup in seconds and smells amazing, is one of my favorites.

Visit Amazon.com to see it.

Use the Banila Clean It Zero Sherbert Cleanser if you need extra help removing thick eye makeup.

BHA Toner (Step 6)

Apply a BHA toner after cleansing at night. This will aid in the preparation of the skin for moisturizer.

I recommend the Benton BHA Skin Toner with Aloe once again.

Tip – Cotton pads are the finest way to apply toner. I really like these ones from MUJI, which are made of soft, unbleached cotton.

7: Heavy-Duty Moisturizer with Yu-Be Moisturizer

Use a thicker moisturizer in the evening to keep your skin as hydrated as possible throughout the night.

I propose Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream, which is used by Everest climbers and is amazing.

Step 8: Apply a hydrating eye cream to your eyes.

At night, use a hydrating eye lotion to hydrate the area around your eyes. Because the skin around the eyes is the first to exhibit symptoms of age, it’s critical to keep it moisturized.

I recommend the Mizon eye cream, which contains snail essence, my favorite Korean skincare ingredient.

Acne Patches (Step 9)

Use an acne patch if you have an active blemish. Simply apply the acne patch on top of the active blemish, and it will absorb the pus, oil, and fluid from the pimple. They work best if the pimple has already been burst.

For pimples that need to be cleared up quickly, I recommend the Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patches.

Sheet Mask (Step 10)

Use a sheet mask once or twice a week to treat your skin.

Because the TONYMOLY sheet masks address a wide range of skin issues, I recommend them. The TONYMOLY red wine mask, which decreases the appearance of enlarged pores, is my personal favorite.
